Aquascaping

While you may choose aquascaping to improve the appearance of your lake or pond, state and county governmental agencies frequently require the use of aquatic plants for environmental reasons. This is often referred to as mitigation.

Plants stabilize the soil, absorb nutrients and provide cover and food for fish and wildlife. Our aquatic plant permit allows us to transplant and nurture a variety of species including pickerelweed, arrowhead, cypress, water lily, chara, rushes and others.
